Our Taiwan banquet was a year after our wedding in the U.S. We also went to Japan to see Aunt May, Cousin CC and family. Michael was on an ex-pat assignment in Tokyo.

April happens to be Sakura blooming season. We went for "ohanami" in Ueno. Many Japanese folks stake out spots in the Ueno park weeks in advance of of the ohanami season.  Sakura was blooming everywhere.

We took the bullet train (Shinkansen's Hikari Express) from Tokyo to Kyoto.

We saw many of the famous temples in Kyoto (Eikan-do, Ginkakuji, Kinkakuji, etc.) as well as walked the Philosopher's Way (Tetsugakko no Michi.) This picture was taken at Kinkakuji, the Golden Temple.
