6/13/97 to 6/17/97 Disney World and Kennedy Space Center. Weather was nice except for a couple of hours of amazing downpour. We had to stop the car on the side of the road. We simply could not see more than a few feet in front of us. Haven't seen anything like it since. To avoid being drenched walking from the parking lot, we had to use the valet to park the car when we got back to the Marriott.

We saw the space shuttle, but we were very far away. The shuttle hangar and the mobile platform to transport the shuttle from the hangar to the launch pad were expectedly immense.
