We (Stehpen too) flew back to Taiwan together. Stephen and Allen spent a few days traveling to Kenting with Allen's cousin while Peifang went home. Stephen and Allen later went to Kaohsiung where Peifang's parents lived. We then all went to Alishan. Stephen and Allen also later went to Hualien and Taroko Gorge, when Allen's relatives in Hualien arranged the trip.

We took the famous small gauge train ride up to and down from Alishan. Stephen got silly on the train.

Taroko Gorge and its roadway through the sides of rock cliffs. These vertical rock cliffs are so difficult to reach that swallows use them as a safe haven for nesting. The roadway was amazing construction feat.  Many people died during the work. Picture is with "ungugu" (all grown up) before we set off to drive through the Gorge on the roadway.
