We took the northern route on the way out to Stanford. We spent
more energy on our video diary of the trip than taking pictures.
We crossed bridges nearly flooded by incessant rain and thusly rising levels of the
Mississippi that year. We saw the Corn Palace in South Dakota. We
stopped at many National Parks, including Badlands, Devil's Tower,
Mount Rushmore, YellowStone, Grand Tetons.
Badlands
National Park. We took a helicopter flight over the Badlands.
Helicopters turn on a dime.

Devils Tower behind us. It's just too tall...

Yellowstone. The Old Faithful. We didn't have to wait long before
it went off and we snapped this picture. We camped out in
Yellowstone and nearly froze. It was colder than expected.

Sulphur Pools smelled bad like stinky eggs. But you get used to it.
Don't really have to pinch your nose. :)
