The summer was extremely rainy in Asia and we decided not to go to Japan or Korea, since it was raining and chilly there. We ended up going to Singapore, where we expected it to be hot and dotted with thunderstorms. Instead, the weather was nice: not as hot as Taiwan contrary to the weather forecast and we managed to avoid all thunderstorms.
